On March 30, President Vladimir Putin attended the opening of new pharmaceutical plants in Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg and Saransk via videoconference. The event was attended by Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade, Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health, Anton Alikhanov, Governor of the Kaliningrad Region, Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, Artyom Zdunov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia, Olga Mednikova, General Director of Otis Pharma, Vikram Singh Punia, President of Pharmasynthesis, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors The Board of Directors of the Promomed Group of Companies is Petr Bely.

In Saransk, one of the country's largest production facilities for active pharmaceutical substances was launched at the site of JSC Biochemik (part of the Promomed Group).

The construction lasted for 2 years, and investments in the project amounted to more than 3.7 billion rubles. With the opening of the plant, more than 120 jobs will be created in the region. The new workshop will produce 150 types of substances, with a capacity of 340 tons per year. There are 7 production lines located here, two of which will synthesize molecules for the manufacture of anticancer drugs. Other sites will produce molecules for synthetic antibiotics (with the exception of beta-lactam), antiviral and antiretroviral drugs, and muscle relaxants.

The opening of a new domestic production of active pharmaceutical substances will reduce the country's dependence on imports. At the same time, modern effective and safe drugs will become even more accessible to Russian citizens. During the videoconference, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin congratulated and thanked all the specialists who participated in the implementation of these important projects and noted their contribution to the development of the Russian pharmaceutical industry.

"Today's event is another step in increasing the production of effective domestic medicines, which, among other things, replace the in—demand imported analogues. They are needed to treat a number of dangerous and socially significant diseases. I would also like to note that such high-tech industries create additional skilled jobs and contribute to the growth of tax revenues. They bring tangible benefits to the entire economy in this regard.

I hope that the national pharmaceutical industry will continue to develop steadily. It is important for us to increase the production of Russian substances, increase the share of domestic drugs in the domestic market, including original ones, and strengthen our independence from suppliers from abroad, especially from those suppliers who sometimes create a lot of difficulties for us. And for this, it is necessary to modernize equipment and build new production facilities, improve technologies, increase the personnel and logistical potential of research laboratories and centers, as well as improve the training of specialists: technologists, pharmacists, pharmacists.

For its part, the government will certainly continue to develop mechanisms to support the industry. In particular, starting this year, we are launching a program to provide investment loans at a discounted rate to create facilities for the synthesis of pharmaceutical substances and the production of full-cycle medicines.

Vladimir Putin: "Starting this year, we are launching a program to provide investment loans at a preferential rate for the creation of facilities for the synthesis of pharmaceutical substances and the production of full-cycle medicines"

I am confident that all investments and investments that are made now and are planned in the future will pay off and serve business development. But the most important thing is that everything that is being done will benefit people. And the state will do everything in our power to ensure that all your plans are implemented. I am sure it will be so," the President of the country emphasized.

Opening one of the largest AFS production plants in the country, Peter Alexandrovich Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group of companies, noted that most of the equipment and technological components were manufactured here in Russia. All technological solutions are absolutely Russian.

"And this is a new word in providing the plant with its own raw materials. Own synthesis of substances is a direct access to innovation, to the creation of original drugs. Why is it so important for us to open a factory for the synthesis of pharmaceutical substances right now? Yes, because this is the strengthening of the country's medicinal sovereignty. It's no secret that until recently, we imported the lion's share of pharmaceutical substances from abroad. By opening this plant, we are making another significant contribution to change this situation. We will create medicines for diseases that have not been treated before, treat them faster, treat them safer. The entire plant team will work tirelessly to create the widest possible portfolio of pharmaceutical substance synthesis here in the shortest possible time. Because the creation of pharmaceutical substances is now as important for the country as space flights," concluded Peter Alexandrovich Bely, head of Promomed Group.

Peter Bely: "We will create medicines for diseases that have not been treated before, treat them faster, treat them safer."
