The R&D stages are aimed at the creation, production, research and implementation of developments in healthcare practice
Usually, the total duration of all stages of the development of "first-in-class" medicines, starting from the scientific idea to the moment of their introduction into healthcare practice, ranges from 10 to 15 years. However, the very scientific idea associated with the creation of a drug may exist long before the start of active development.
