The Russian delegation headed by the Deputy Prime MinisterOf RussiaDmitry Chernyshenko is on a working visit to the Republic of Cuba.

"The Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation includes the head of Mordovia and representatives of the regional government. The main area of work is the development of new opportunities for cooperation with Cuba," the message says.

Earlier it was reported that in May 2024, the delegation of Mordovia, together with the strategic partner of Promomed Group, visited Cuba. Following the results of the working trip, the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Havana and Promomed initiated joint research in the field of oncology treatment and vaccine development.

"The head of Mordovia is part of a working group together with the First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian FederationVasily Osmakov and Peter Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed, took part in a meeting on industrial cooperation with the Republic of Cuba.
