Help

Package leaflet

Anastrozole-Promomed reduces the amount of the hormone estrogen that your body produces. It does this by blocking a natural substance (enzyme) in your body called "aromatase."

The drug Anastrozole-Promomed is used in adults over the age of 18 as:

  • additional (adjuvant) therapy of early breast cancer with positive hormone receptors in postmenopausal women, including after adjuvant therapy with tamoxifen for 2-3 years;
  • first-line therapy for locally advanced or spread to other parts of the body (metastatic) breast cancer with positive or unknown hormone receptors in postmenopausal women;
  • second-line therapy for advanced breast cancer progressing after tamoxifen treatment in postmenopausal women.

If you have taken Anastrozole-Promomed more than you should, contact your doctor immediately.

(For more information about all possible adverse reactions, see the leaflet)

Do not take Anastrozole-Promomed:
