The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus has issued a registration certificate for the drug Tirzetta® (INN tirzepatide). This is the first medicinal product with this active ingredient officially registered in Belarus.

The Company's semaglutide-based drugs for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes have already been introduced in the country. Now Belarusian doctors and patients have access to tirzepatide, which is recognized as one of the most modern solutions for correcting metabolic health. This gives specialists enhanced opportunities to personalize therapy.

The mechanism of action of tirzepatide is based on the simultaneous activation of the receptors of two hormones — GLP-1 and GIP. Due to the complex effect, appetite decreases, body weight control improves, and glucose levels are kept in the target range.

"Belarus is a strategic market for the Company. We are consistently introducing a full range of incretin drugs here so that therapy is available to patients with different disease course and different capabilities. This is especially important given the level of the problem in the republic. According to WHO estimates for 2024, more than half of the adult population of the country is overweight, and one in five adults lives with obesity."

emphasizes Eduard Kasyan

Executive Director of PROMOMED

The drug is produced in a full cycle and is available in disposable auto-injectors. This format allows you to exclude preservatives from the composition, including phenol and benzyl alcohol, which can accumulate in the body during prolonged therapy. This decision highlights the Company's focus on the safety and convenience of long-term treatment for patients.
