On October 29, within the framework of the V International Forum "Commonwealth of Fashion", a session "It's fashionable to be healthy" was held, dedicated to modern longevity tools. Sergey Trifonov, Executive Director of PROMOMED, presented a fundamentally new approach to biological age management.
The session was moderated by Alexander Zudin, Director of the Semashko National Research Institute of Public Health, MD. The distinguished guests of the session, Inna Svyatenko, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, and Evgenia Kotova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, noted the high level of government attention to active longevity and the integration of scientific developments into the practice of maintaining health.

The PROMOMED expert spoke about developments based on the telomeric theory of aging. As Sergey Trifonov noted, the approach is based on the discoveries of Russian scientist Alexei Olovnikov and research awarded the Nobel Prize in 2009. The essence of the concept is that the shortening of telomeres (the ends of chromosomes) is a fundamental driver of aging and age-related diseases. When telomeres become critically short, the cell stops dividing and gradually loses its functionality. The enzyme telomerase is able to restore telomere length, thereby prolonging the cell's life cycle.
Sergey Trifonov emphasized the fundamental difference between this approach and traditional anti-aging solutions that work on the principle of cell "repair", that is, they stimulate the production of collagen, improve skin texture and mask age-related changes. However, if a cell has reached the limit of division, no amount of stimulation will restore its ability to renew.
Innovative developments based on telomeric theory prolong the life of a cell and open up a resource for its further division. The effectiveness and safety of the approach are confirmed by clinical data. According to the results of randomized controlled trials published in the PubMed database, over the year of use, the net increase in telomeres amounted to 530 base pairs, the volume of senescent cells decreased by 13%, and the level of systemic inflammation decreased by 62%.
Within the framework of the forum, PROMOMED presented a scientific development — the moisturizing fluid AQUA BLOOM. The product is based on an innovative niosomal technology for targeted delivery of hyaluronic acid, created in the R&D center of a leading pharmaceutical company. Elastic microvesicles (niosomes) freely penetrate through the stratum corneum, delivering a complex of active substances to the epidermis to stimulate the production of its own collagen and protect hyaluronic acid from destruction. The action of the transport system is complemented by niacinamide and phytosphingosine, which restore the lipid matrix and enhance the protective functions of the skin.
The presentation of Russian scientific achievements for medicine, beauty and longevity at the largest intersectoral forum demonstrates how cutting-edge research is transformed into affordable solutions for consumers.
