As part of the Areplivir — Doctors campaign, the Voronezh Region received 1,000 packages of coronavirus medicine.

On January 28, 2021, the heads of Promomed Group held a working meeting with Alexander Gusev, Governor of the Voronezh Region, Viktor Bondarev, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Alexander Shchukin, head of the Regional Health Department, as well as representatives of medical organizations working with COVID-19 patients.

 

The meeting discussed the general epidemiological situation in the region and the implementation of the Areplivir – Doctors all-Russian charity program of Promomed Group. As Alexander Gusev noted, there has been a positive trend in the fight against coronavirus infection recently, and the 1,000 packages of new medicines handed over to protect Voronezh doctors will be another help in the fight against this disease.

 

Senator Viktor Bondarev expressed gratitude to the regional authorities for their support of the charity program. "We couldn't bypass the Voronezh Region. This is my homeland, my fellow countrymen. We admire the doctors' feat and must do everything to ensure that they have as few sad consequences as possible from the coronavirus infection," he said.

 

Andrey Mladentsev, Chief Executive Officer of PROMOMED Group, stressed that Promomed and the production site of Biochemik JSC have been actively involved in the direct fight against coronavirus infection for more than six months. "During this time, we have managed to save several hundred thousand lives. We are pleased to contribute to ensuring the protection of the region's health workers and to provide a supply of Areplivir in hospitals working with COVID-19 patients," said Andrey Mladentsev.

 

In turn, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Dmitry Pushkar, who participated in the meeting via video link, noted that the decrease in the number of coronavirus cases, including in the Voronezh Region, inspires cautious optimism: "But the pandemic has not disappeared anywhere, and we must not lose our vigilance. In this regard, I would like to express my gratitude to the governor and the government of the Voronezh Region for supporting the charity event "Areplivir – doctors" and I believe that through joint efforts we will be able to counter the epidemic much more effectively."

 

The implementation of the Areplivir — Doctors All–Russian program with the participation of governors, heads of executive and legislative authorities has already taken place in several regions of the Russian Federation - Moscow, Leningrad, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Saratov, Kirov regions, the Republic of Mordovia, Perm Krai. In total, PROMOMED donated over 12,000 packages of Areplivir to doctors working in the red zone.
