Biochemist has started training professional personnel in the field of biosynthesis

On the basis of JSC "Biochemist" A department has been opened for students of the Ogarev Moscow State University, which will study the synthesis of new antibiotics. There are no analogues in Russia.

A professional retraining program has been launched here since February 1. Students of the University of Mordovia studying in the fields of Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Fundamental and Applied Chemistry and Organic Chemistry had the opportunity to retrain as specialized specialists in the field of antibiotic biosynthesis for the pharmaceutical industry.

The course was developed by the staff of the Ogarev Moscow State University, taking into account the requirements of professional standards, as well as the production needs of JSC Biochemist, which initiated the creation of this department. The training will take 1.5 years. The teaching staff consists of specialists from the Ogarev Moscow State University and the plant. Classes will be held both at the university and at the Biochemistry site. During the entire training, the company will pay students an additional scholarship, and upon completion will provide guaranteed jobs. Another important preference is that graduates of the university will receive an additional diploma, which will open up enormous opportunities for them.

The idea of the basic department meets not only the personnel interests of Biochemist, but also national needs: it is no secret that today Russia buys substances for the production of antibiotics abroad. The professional training program initiated by Biochemist will allow us to grow personnel capable of synthesizing new domestic antibiotics.

Commenting on the opening of the department, P.V. Senin, a science projector at Ogarev Moscow State University, noted: "The students showed great interest in the new field of study. There are really smart and talented guys here who would like to participate in the projects implemented by Biochemist.

D.N. Zemskov, Executive Director of JSC Biochemik, stressed that the plant had already prepared production sites and laboratories for the implementation of this project, and Dmitry Nikolaevich expressed the hope that the students participating in the launched program would "form the elite of the country's pharmaceutical industry in the future." Biochemist is undergoing a deep modernization and by the time graduates graduate, an updated production facility equipped in accordance with international GMP standards will be waiting for them," concluded the executive director.

V.M. Groshev, General Director of NPC "Antibiotics", congratulated the students on joining the family of pharmaceutical manufacturers. He urged the children to "learn to think and question everything."

The agreement on the establishment of the Scientific and Production Center "Antibiotics", which is a joint project of Biochemistry and Ogarev Moscow State University, was signed in December 2016. During this time, the NPC managed to prepare four last-generation antibiotics for industrial production on the basis of Biochemik. With the advent of new professional staff, these statistics are guaranteed to increase.
