Biochemist is preparing to launch new antibacterial drugs of its own development

The project, which is strategically important for the country's drug safety, was implemented this year at Biochemistry. For the first time in Russia, industrial production of fully domestic new–generation antibiotics was launched at the plant, from the producer strain to the finished product.

In 2019, the company will continue its policy of import substitution and ensuring the pharmaceutical safety of the country. Mordovian scientists are working on fifth-generation antibiotics. The industrial production of substances of the latest antibiotics of the glycopeptide range is planned to be launched at the end of the first quarter of 2019. Dmitry Zemskov, the executive director of the company, told reporters of the Mordovian Television Network about what other developments Biochemik has in its assets.
