"We consider it critically important to make the world's most advanced coronavirus therapy available to our compatriots as quickly as possible. The first antitumor drug based on the internationally recognized molnupiravir molecule was registered abroad in December 2021, and in February, a domestic drug developed by Promomed based on the same molecule using original technology entered the healthcare system. Today, our factory in Saransk is operating at full capacity to meet the demands of all regions," said Maxim Smagin, CEO of Promomed Group.

The drug is available in the form of 200 and 400 mg capsules and is intended for the treatment of mild to moderate coronavirus infection on an outpatient basis.

"The evidence base of molnupiravir includes data from clinical trials involving more than 3,000 patients from around the world with varying degrees of severity of COVID-19, including patients in the older age group or those with comorbid conditions. Esperavir has passed all stages of clinical testing, has shown high effectiveness in reducing the risk of hospitalization and deterioration, the rate of virus elimination, and the rate of clinical improvement," said Kira Zaslavskaya. Director of New Products at Promomed Group.

The Expert Council, which met in February 2022 and brought together reputable scientists and clinicians, noted in its resolution: "Data from international and Russian studies, as well as accumulated international experience in using molnupiravir in the treatment of new coronavirus infection, allow us to consider it as one of the most potential medicines for the treatment of new coronavirus infection."
