Igor Komarov, Envoy to the Volga Federal District, praised Biochemist's projects

On November 20, Igor Komarov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, arrived in Saransk on a working trip. Together with the Head of the republic, Vladimir Volkov, they visited the Technopark of Mordovia, where they viewed the exposition of the largest industrial enterprises in the region. The pharmaceutical industry was represented by JSC Biochemist.

Peter Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PROMOMED Group, demonstrated to the guests of the event an innovative project for the production of the latest generation of antibiotics.

"For the first time in the history of Russia, we have managed to organize a unique production of antibiotics at Biochemistry: from a producer strain to ready-made medicines.",- said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PROMOMED Group  Peter the White.

The list of drugs produced by the plant is wide. Currently, the company produces more than 100 names of medicines in injectable, tablet, ampoule forms, ointments, gels and suppositories. The exhibition includes some of the drugs that have been released recently. Among them are Migrenium, Salvisar, Doripenem and others.  A sample of the first Russian substance of a new generation of antibiotics, Vancomycin, took the central place. "It was he who was presented to President Vladimir Putin and appreciated," said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PROMOMED Group  Peter the White.

The head of Mordovia, Vladimir Volkov, told the plenipotentiary representative in the Volga Federal District, Igor Komarov, about the future prospects of the Biochemist. In the near future, the plant is preparing to produce three more modern substances of glycopeptide antibiotics – Oritovancin, Telavancin, and Ramoplanin. By 2020, more than 20 types of new generation antibiotics will be produced, which will ensure the national and drug safety of the country.
