Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the Russian Government on October 28, announced a decision to provide free drugs against coronavirus infection to all patients undergoing outpatient treatment.

 

During the discussion on the availability of medicines for patients with COVID-19, the President drew attention to the early completion of all approvals and instructed to begin allocating funds for the purchase of drugs immediately.

 

The PROMOMED Group of companies, which is the developer and manufacturer of the drug against coronavirus infection Areplivir, is ready to expand the supply of this medicine in an amount sufficient to meet the needs of the regional Ministries of Health. "We consider it our task to do everything in our power to implement the initiative of the Government and the President, support the system of state drug provision in the country and help reduce the burden on clinics and hospitals in the face of rising morbidity," the Group of Companies said.

 

Areplivir is the latest direct—acting drug for the treatment of coronavirus infection. In the course of clinical trials, the drug has shown high efficacy and safety. Areplivir is included in the guidelines of the Russian Ministry of Health for the treatment of COVID-19. In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, it is included in the list of vital and essential medicines.
