"Pharma is love": Promomed unites students of Russia's largest universities once again

With the support of Promomed Group of companies, a series of events "Pharma is Love" was held at Ogarev Mordovian State University. For the second year in a row, this event brings together the student communities of the largest Russian educational institutions to introduce young people to the prospects and opportunities offered by a career in the "Biochemistry" of the Promomed group, and to remind them that doing science is very exciting.

This year, the geography of the project has significantly expanded. Students of specialized universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Penza joined the online broadcast of Pharma. As last year, the event was opened by Peter Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group. In an atmosphere of friendly conversation, the speaker shared his professional experience with future specialists, answering students' questions.

"As one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Russia, we are doing a lot to create a material base: new workshops, a giant research center. We are very lucky that the Mordovian State University is located next to the country's leading pharmaceutical enterprise, the Biochemist plant, with which we have a long history of cooperation. And the main thing is that yesterday's graduates, coming to us, begin to grow as professionals," said Peter Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group.

Lectures by recognized experts of the pharmaceutical community continued the cycle of events. This year, the invited speakers were scientists from the Mendeleev Russian State Technical University: Svetlana Gelperina, Doctor of Chemistry, Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Biomedical Drugs, with a story about nanopharmaceuticals, and Yulia Ermolenko, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Biomedical Drugs, who read a report on capillary electrophoresis.

In addition to the educational part, a student information center was set up for young specialists, within the framework of which the staff of Biochemik advised everyone on internship, internships and further employment at the enterprise of the group of companies.

The fruitful work of the company and the university resulted in the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Physiologically Active Substances, established on the basis of the enterprise in 2018.
