A working meeting was held between Ms. Dao Hong Lan, Minister of Health of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and a delegation from the PROMOMED Group of Companies headed by Peter Bely, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors. The main topic of the talks was long-term cooperation in the field of high-tech pharmaceuticals, technology transfer and localization of production. The parties also discussed joint steps to implement previously reached agreements.

Representatives of the Pharmaceutical Management Department, the Department of Science, Technology and Training, the Department of International Cooperation, as well as the Vinafarm Pharmaceutical Corporation attended the meeting from the Vietnamese side. The PROMMED delegation included Alexander Efremov, CEO; Kira Zaslavskaya, Director of New Products; Ilona Dorosheva, Director of International Markets.

Opening the meeting, Tao Hong Lan stressed that Vietnam attaches great importance to friendship and comprehensive cooperation with the Russian Federation, and healthcare and pharmaceuticals are among the key areas. "The Ministry of Health highly appreciates the work of PROMOMED in the development and production of innovative drugs, high—quality generics and biosimilars, scientific research and development in the most important and promising areas of healthcare," the Minister said. During the conversation, special attention was paid to the task of strengthening cooperation in the field of biomedical sciences. Tao Hong Lan noted: "Strengthening cooperation in the field of manufacturing, technology transfer and attracting investments in the field of biomedical sciences is one of the strategic tasks set by the government for the Ministry of Health."

Peter Bely thanked for the warm welcome and spoke about the strategic cooperation with Vinafarm and the agreements on cooperation with Central Pharmaceutical Company CPC1 regarding the potential distribution of a number of PROMOMED products, including innovative medicines, improved generics and monoclonal antibodies.

Dao Hong Lan instructed the Pharmaceutical Management Department to provide consulting assistance to PROMMED in preparing the necessary documents, finding solutions for adapting the product portfolio, as well as in developing and improving joint drug access programs. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing contacts and developing partnership initiatives aimed at increasing the availability of high-quality, effective and safe medicines.
