The Biochemist plant has successfully passed the audit of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and confirmed compliance with strict international GMP standards. The certificate opens up the possibility of supplying PROMOMED medicines to one of the most dynamically developing pharmaceutical markets in Eurasia.
During the inspection, international experts highly appreciated the level of technical equipment, production lines, pharmaceutical quality system and the high level of professionalism and competence of the staff. The company operates on a full-cycle basis. Having its own R&D center allows the Company to develop and implement innovative solutions from the molecule to the finished dosage form.
PROMOMED's flagship production site produces modern endocrinological preparations — Velgia Eco® and Tirzetta®, which are planned to be supplied to the Uzbek market. The drugs are created using modern technologies, without the use of preservatives such as benzyl alcohol and phenol. As part of the expansion of the product portfolio, the list of supplies also includes drugs for the treatment of oncological diseases and modern highly effective means for fighting infections.
The pharmaceutical market of Uzbekistan is one of the fastest growing in the region today. By the end of 2025, according to IQVIA, its growth in monetary terms was about 23% and 5% in packages. At the same time, the best dynamics are shown by anti-diabetes drugs (with the exception of insulins) and drugs for the treatment of obesity, the average annual growth of which in the context of 2023-2025 was 57% in packages and 112% in monetary terms.
One of the key reasons for this rate is the prevalence of cardiovascular, endocrine, and respiratory diseases. More than half (55%) of the pharmaceutical market in Uzbekistan is occupied by drugs for the treatment of chronic pathologies.
