During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and PROMOMED Group of Companies discussed cooperation formats in the field of drug safety in the Kyrgyz Republic and agreed to join forces in organizing the supply of medicines to the republic to combat infections, including COVID-19.
The parties exchanged documents confirming the agreements reached.
The interaction between the parties was the result of a meeting in May 2021 between the Presidents of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov. During the conversation, Vladimir Putin noted: "We are also cooperating in the fight against the pandemic. Russia provides and intends to continue to support Kyrgyzstan in the supply of test systems, antiviral drugs and vaccines."*
The event was attended by: ACTING Head of the Republic of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group Peter Bely, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic Imanaliev Daniyar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation Gulnara – Clara Samat.
