Promomed Group donated a thousand packages of Areplivir for free for the treatment of residents of the Tula region

Representatives of Promomed Group of Companies held a charity event for the transfer of the antiviral drug Areplivir in Tula. Within the framework of the event, a working meeting was held between Alexey Erk, Minister of Health of the region, Marina Levina, First Deputy Chairman of the Tula Regional Duma, Andrey Dubrovsky, deputy of the Regional Duma, and Andrey Mladentsev, Chief Executive Officer of PROMOMED Group. The meeting was also attended by the chief doctors of the region via video link. It was noted that the received 1,000 packages of medicines will be distributed among medical institutions of the Tula region for the treatment of patients in hospitals and at home.

 

According to Alexey Erk, despite the fact that the incidence of coronavirus is currently on the decline, 8 infectious diseases hospitals continue to operate in the region. 885 beds have been deployed to help patients with Covid-19. "As part of the Promomed Group charity event, our region will be able to provide Areplivir to more than 600 patients undergoing treatment at home (the course of treatment consists of one or more packages)," the Minister of Health noted.

Andrey Mladentsev, Chief Executive Officer of Promomed Group, stressed that Areplivir is included in the guidelines of the Russian Ministry of Health for the treatment of COVID-19 and is included in the list of vital and essential medicines.

"In the course of clinical trials, the drug has shown high efficacy and safety, and when used, the disease does not develop into a severe form. Early initiation of antiviral therapy, including with the help of Areplivir, reduces the risk of complications and aggravation of the condition, outpatient admission to an infectious diseases hospital."

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize Promomed training webinars on the treatment of coronavirus infection for Tula doctors.

Promomed Group of Companies has been conducting an All-Russian charity program for the transfer of Areplivir to the regions since last year. The events with the participation of governors, heads of executive and legislative authorities were successfully held in Moscow, Leningrad, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Saratov, Kirov, Voronezh regions, the Republic of Mordovia, Perm Krai, the Republic of Dagestan and other regions. In total, PROMOMED donated over 15,000 packages of the drug against coronavirus infection to the subjects of the Russian Federation.
