Promomed Group of Companies, one of the leaders of the pharmaceutical industry, was awarded the IP RUSSIA AWARDS (IPRA) 2023. The award ceremony took place last week in Moscow.

The silver in the nomination "Best Management and Protection Strategy for REED, Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals" went to Promomed Group employees Maria Porokhnya, Director of Intellectual Property, Ksenia Malysheva, head of the patent department, and Ulyana Aladysheva, an intellectual property specialist. She deservedly received a prize in the top three winners "For her contribution to the fight against counterfeiting". Evgenia Levina, Head of the Trademark Department of Promomed Group of Companies.

"Pharmaceuticals worldwide is one of the industries where the role of intellectual property is particularly important, and obtaining patents is particularly difficult due to the specifics and complexity of the patenting objects. We are pleased that in a short period of time we have managed to show results, replenish the IP company's portfolio and implement a strategy to create effective protection for targeted antiviral therapy products. This work continues, and the development and patenting of new drugs in demand is being tripled in strength and speed. We thank the organizers of the award and the distinguished jury for their appreciation of the work of our team, and we will surprise you with new implemented projects next year!" said Maria Porokhnya.

IP RUSSIA AWARDS became the first Russian intellectual property award. The event is supported by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) and the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), and is designed to identify the best organizations and specialists in this field.

Promomed, being one of the largest Russian manufacturers of pharmaceutical products, is actively engaged in the creation and market launch of innovative drugs, both replacing medicines that have become unavailable, and completely new ones, which are a unique development of the company. The patent protection of products and the multiplication of the company's intangible assets is a necessary element for the development of its own innovations and the development of the pharmaceutical industry, according to the group of companies.
