Promomed Group will provide four thousand people with Areplivir®, recommended for the treatment of COVID-19 of any severity, as part of assistance in combating the pandemic in the Republic of Mordovia.
Promomed Group of Companies has provided eight thousand packages of Areplivir® as a free aid aimed at combating coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the Republic of Mordovia. This amount of medicines will be enough for a full course of treatment for four thousand people.
"The situation in the country remains difficult. Being a socially responsible company, we cannot stay away. As the manufacturer of Areplivir, a drug included in the guidelines of the Russian Ministry of Health for the treatment of COVID-19, we have allocated eight thousand packages of this vital remedy for patients with coronavirus, wishing to contribute to the fight against the pandemic. Additional resources will never be superfluous in the current situation," he said.Maxim Smagin, CEO of Promomed.
Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of MordoviaOleg Markin, at a meeting of the operations center for the prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection, said that the medicines received will be given after mandatory consultations with attending physicians to people over 60 years of age.
Areplivir® has a direct antiviral effect and is recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for the treatment of COVID-19 of any severity. During clinical trials that began in June 2020 and took place in five Russian medical institutions under the leadership of full members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, this drug has proven to be highly effective and safe, preventing the transition of coronavirus infection to a severe form.
