Following the decision of the Moscow authorities to expand the program of free medical care for outpatient COVID-19 patients, a similar initiative was launched by the government of the Moscow region.
Svetlana Strigunkova, Minister of Health of the Moscow Region, said that all patients undergoing treatment for coronavirus at home would be provided with favipiravir-based drugs for free. At the same time, the minister stressed that the decision on the need for this drug for the patient will be made by the attending physician.
PROMOMED Group of Companies, which is the developer and manufacturer of the drug against coronavirus infection Areplivir, previously supplied this medicine to its official distributor Biotech Group in an amount sufficient to meet the needs of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region in providing free medicines to patients with COVID-19.
As part of the implementation of state programs to ensure the availability of medicines for coronavirus infection, PROMOMED Group will continue to monitor the availability of Areplivir for the needs of all healthcare entities.
