Following the decision of the Moscow authorities to expand the program of free medical care for outpatient COVID-19 patients, a similar initiative was launched by the government of the Moscow region.

 

The Minister of Health of the Moscow Region, Svetlana Strigunkova, said that all patients undergoing treatment for coronavirus at home will be provided with drugs based on favipiravir for free. At the same time, the minister stressed that the decision on the need for this drug for the patient will be made by the attending physician.

 

PROMOMED Group of Companies, which is the developer and manufacturer of the drug against coronavirus infection Areplivir, previously supplied this medicine to its official distributor Biotech Group in an amount sufficient to meet the needs of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region in providing free medicines to patients with COVID-19.
