Promomed Group's cooperation with the engineering center is an example of cooperation for innovation

The Executive Director of JSC Biochemik (part of Promomed Group of Companies) spoke about the use of CCPs and alternative solutions in the development of innovative drugs Dmitry Zemskov at the XX-Ith Russian Pharmaceutical Forum, speaking in the session: "Drug supply strategies in Russia. A look at the current scale of availability of innovative and generic drugs from pharmaceutical companies, regulators, and patient communities."

"Now the government and business are making significant efforts to ensure that innovative domestic drugs appear. But for an innovative drug to be born, someone has to make it. The industry is experiencing an acute shortage of developers and a shortage of young scientists working on new molecules and medicines. Unfortunately, numerous collective use centers operate without reference to the needs of specific manufacturers and industries," Dmitry Zemskov noted.

As a successful example of interaction, the speaker cited the experience of cooperation between Promomed Group of Companies and the Mendeleev Moscow State Technical University Engineering Center. The center for collective use at the flagship university of the industry develops modern technologies at the request of various pharmaceutical and chemical companies. Promomed successfully uses this platform for research in the development of new drugs, and training programs for young scientists are being developed at the university.

"Ultimately, this is not only working for the company's goals, but also for our overall result — the innovation and accessibility of the Russian pharmaceutical industry," Dmitry Zemskov summed up.
