PROMOMED has received a certificate of compliance with the EAEU GMP requirements for the production of veterinary products

December 27, 2024, Moscow – PJSC PROMOMED (MOEX: PRMD) (formerly "PROMOMED", the "Company", and together with its subsidiaries– the "Group") announces the receipt of a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the EAEU GMP in the manufacture of veterinary products.

PROMOMED has received a conclusion from the Rosselkhoznadzor on the compliance of the manufacturer of medicines for veterinary use with the requirements of the Rules of Good Manufacturing Practice of the Eurasian Economic Union No. GMP-171/24.

The document confirms the high quality, safety and reliability of PROMOMED's products, which are an active participant in the import substitution program and provide the country with high–quality drugs with full-cycle production, from the synthesis of the active pharmaceutical substance to the final product.

As a result of the imposition of sanctions against the Russian Federation at the end of 2022, foreign manufacturers of veterinary drugs significantly reduced or completely stopped the import of vaccines and other pharmaceutical products strategically important for agriculture and the treatment of domestic animals into our country. In this regard, the Government of the Russian Federation has set the task for medical companies to form veterinary units.

In 2023-2024, BIOCHEMIST JSC (PROMOMED Group production complex) prepared for the start of production of veterinary drugs, including the validation of production lines and the release of experimental production series of four medicines for animals with full quality control. JSC BIOCHEMIST was included in the Rosselkhoznadzor register as an enterprise with a valid license for the pharmacological production of veterinary drugs. In October, during the re-inspection, the Company confirmed the compliance of the issued license.

The received certificate allows PROMOMED Company to register veterinary drugs according to a simplified procedure and bring products to the market of the Russian Federation and the EAEU countries.

According to the results of the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2024, the total volume of the retail market of veterinary medicines amounted to 21.9 billion rubles (in retail prices, including VAT), while the monetary volume increased by 14.3% compared to the same period. The natural volume of sales in minimum units of dosing (HONEY[1]) increased by 9.9%. In total, in January – June of this year, Russians purchased 125.7 million HONEY preparations for the treatment of animals in retail[2].
