Promomed Group of Companies plans to invest 4.7 billion rubles in the construction of a workshop for the production of antitumor drugs in Saransk, where the Biochemist plant is located. This was reported on Friday on on the website the Government of Mordovia following a working visit to Mordovia by First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Osmakov.
"The group of companies plans to build a workshop for the production of antitumor drugs with a total investment of 4.7 billion rubles," the report says.
It is noted that for 2023-2024, the group of companies has planned the implementation of several more projects in Mordovia. "Among them is the commissioning of a site for the production of medicines in the form of lyophilizates, with a production capacity of more than 4 million vials per year, and investments in the project are estimated at 1.2 billion rubles. The group of companies also plans to launch one of the country's largest production facilities for active pharmaceutical substances with a capacity of 340 tons per year for 150 types of substances, investments in the project are estimated at 3.5 billion rubles," the report says.
Biochemist implements a full cycle of pharmaceutical production up to the finished dosage form. In December 2022, the plant opened a tablet production facility with a capacity of 1 billion tablets per year, designed to produce strategically important drugs, including in the event of a cessation of supplies from foreign pharmaceutical companies.
