PROMOMED has consolidated its position in the top ten pharmaceutical companies in the country by the end of 2024. The rating is published in Forbes Healthcare magazine and is based on data from the AlphaRM research agency.

PROMOMED's confident position in the top is ensured by a high sales dynamics and excellent results in terms of the number of clinical trials (more than 100 clinical trials in 2022-2024). The company is also a leader in the number of brands in its portfolio – 350 medicines.

According to experts, this success was made possible by overcoming the challenges faced by the pharmaceutical industry. The COVID-19 pandemic and the withdrawal of foreign manufacturers from the Russian market have become significant factors in accelerating the development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry, as they required an increase in the production of medicines and the rapid development of their own drugs and analogues of imported medicines unavailable in Russia. So, in pharmacies in 2022, the share of sales of Russian medicines in rubles was 43%, and in 2024 This year it is already 47%.

PROMOMED was among the first to meet the patient's need for semaglutide under the trade names Quintenta® and Velgia®, as well as to market the country's only tirzepatide called Tirzetta®. There are plans to expand the range of drugs for the treatment of obesity.

Forbes experts cite data indicating an increase in sales and an increase in the share of domestic medicines. This may indicate that Russian manufacturers are actively developing portfolios of high-margin drugs, among which there are original developments.
