The corresponding agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by Alexander Igorevich Efremov, CEO of PROMOMED, and Roman Vasilyevich Petrutsa, Director of the Industrial Development Fund. In total, the Company will allocate 1.4 billion rubles for the development of the new direction. Of these, 940 million in the form of a concessional loan were allocated by the Federal Reserve Fund.

"The FRP has financed more than 2,160 projects of industrial enterprises in almost 80 countries. regions of Russia. Over 1,560 different companies have become clients of the Fund. We appreciate when our borrowers come back with new ideas and plans – this is the best assessment of the effectiveness of our programs. One such example is "Biochemist". Previously, we supported two projects of the company in the amount of 2.3 billion rubles. And now we are providing 940 million rubles for the organization of the release of new medicines in a full cycle – from pharmaceutical substances to finished medicines. The total budget of the project will amount to 1.4 billion rubles", " He told me Roman Petrutsa.

With concessional financing from the FRP, PROMOMED invests in the implementation of a project for the production of high-tech medicines and small-batch pharmaceutical substances. By 2031, the planned production capacity will reach 47 thousand packages per year.

"Pharmaceuticals today is a key element of the country's sovereignty. For Mordovia, the development of the production of high–tech drugs is not just another industrial initiative, but a strategically important area that affects the well-being of the population and the independence of the country. By localizing pharmaceutical production, the republic actively participates in the creation and implementation of advanced developments. The implementation of such important projects becomes possible thanks to the support mechanisms of the Industrial Development Fund – today they are most in demand by enterprises. The production of Mordovia has already attracted over 9 billion rubles from the federal reserve fund for the implementation of investment projects, having invested another 9.5 billion rubles in them," he said. Artyom Zdunov.

Small-scale production is critically important to meet the needs of doctors and patients in the treatment of rare (orphan) diseases, including myodystrophy. Duchenne, short bowel syndrome, etc. On standard industrial lines, even in medium-sized reactors, the production of small volumes is often technologically difficult and economically unprofitable.

«The needs of patients with rare (orphan) diseases remain unresolved in Russia. At the same time, modern medicine is increasingly shifting towards individual therapy, which has shown its effectiveness in treating a wide variety of nosologies. Both directions are united by a common technological need for the production of small series of medicines. However, there was practically no such industrial unit in our country. As a result, patients depend on foreign manufacturers who have established niche production. In the current geopolitical conditions, such dependence cannot always guarantee the stability of supplies. Moreover, foreign drugs are highly expensive. Our task is to ensure the availability of therapy in the broadest sense.», —
