One of the most important principles of Promomed Group is solving global healthcare challenges. The company manufactures medicines for the treatment of coronavirus infection, oncological diseases, endocrine diseases, and also produces drugs for the treatment of diseases of the central nervous system.

In 2018, the Biochemist plant (part of Promomed Group of Companies) became a participant in the national Labor Productivity project. By the time the project started, lean manufacturing principles had already been applied at the plant — even before the reconstruction, the company managed to improve productivity by 15%.

During the time of participating in the project, the plant has managed to significantly optimize processes, including improving human flow management, reducing working hours, and automating technological processes.

"We went through several generations of industrialization when we restored the plant. And at that time, the national project "Increasing labor productivity" came. We have received a significant improvement in our quality indicators," said Peter Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group.

"Representatives of the Federal Competence Center have been here on a daily basis for the first three months. They went through all this with us. We sat, drew staff traffic patterns, walked banally and measured the height of the tables to make it convenient to work," said Dmitry Zemskov, Executive Director of Biochemist JSC.

"We are already putting these continuous improvements into our new projects. We save money by not building unnecessary things, and we produce more products with fewer equipment and personnel," Dmitry Zemskov added.

"Pharmaceutical production should always be ultra-modern. Or it's not pharmaceutical production, but just a pharmaceutical factory," said Petr Bely.

The RBC channel, together with the Federal Competence Center (FCC), released a program dedicated to the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity" at JSC Biochemist.
