The average score of the Unified State Exam in chemistry in Mordovia has become higher due to the participants of the Future Biochemist project

On the basis of two educational institutions – Gymnasium No. 19 and the Tavla Education Center – Secondary School No. 17, which implement the special course "Future Biochemist", open parent meetings were held. They were attended by Evgeny Alexandrov, Director of Personnel at Biochemist JSC, Anna Ruzankina and Ulyana Matveychuk, Head and Deputy of the Recruitment Department, and representatives of the N. P. Moscow State University. Ogareva University, the main partner university of the project, as well as teachers and curators of the special course "Future Biochemist".

At the open parent meetings, the results of the first year of the project were summed up. Let us remind you that the special course on advanced study of chemistry and specialized mathematics "Future Biochemist" was launched last year on the initiative of Promomed Group of Companies. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the Republic of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov.

The course "Future Biochemist" was developed jointly by school teachers and teachers of the Ogarev Moscow State University. The curriculum includes experiments in organic and inorganic chemistry, lectures by university researchers and practitioners from the Biochemist plant. The classrooms were equipped with all the necessary equipment and reagents for practical classes. The students participated in Olympiads and research competitions.

The first participants of the project were more than 140 students of grades 8-11 from all educational institutions of Saransk. At the end of the first academic year, half of the 18 eleventh graders continued their studies at the Moscow State University named after N. P. Ogarev Russian State Technical University named after D. I. Mendeleev, Moscow State Medical University named after A. I. Evdokimov and N. I. Lobachevsky National Research University, having concluded target contracts with the enterprise.

The results of the admission campaign in 2023 showed that the average score in the republic in chemistry has increased by 2.4%, and this is due to the participants of the Future Biochemist project. Among the project participants, the average score of the Unified State Exam in chemistry was 74. Not only the students showed good results. The teaching staff of Gymnasium No. 19 has also grown professionally. Chemistry teacher Svetlana Makarevskaya was awarded the title of "Honored Teacher of the Republic of Mordovia", mathematics teacher Tamara Naumova was awarded a diploma for her high pedagogical skills and significant contribution to education.

In the new academic year, more than 150 people have already chosen the special course "Future Biochemist". Among them are the children of the company's employees who decided to continue the dynasty. The program of the special course has been expanded with a new subject – biology. Students will be introduced to microbiology and genetics. The program also includes a lot of practical work, lectures by teachers of the Ogarev Moscow State University and specialists of the plant, Olympiads and competitions.

The company's development strategy is focused on the creation and development of biotechnological medicines, and the construction of appropriate infrastructure," said Evgeny Alexandrov, HR Director of Biochemist JSC. – It is safe to say that this is the profession of the future.

Communication with parents and students took place in the format of a live dialogue. They asked a lot of questions about the future of the project, internships and internships, as well as further employment.
