Biochemistry's Mordovian experience will form the All-Russian Strategy for Pharma 2030

The Russian government approved the Pharma 2030 strategy this summer. Its main task is to increase the share of Russian full-cycle drugs in the country's market to 70 percent in 7 years. The commission under the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs will tell you what concrete steps to take in the near future.

The Biochemist enterprise of Promomed Group in Saransk has become one of the main platforms in the country for studying current experience. For the first time, experts from the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, arrived in Saransk.

An agreement was reached with the participation of the Head of Mordovia that the RSF Commission on Pharmaceuticals and the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Entrepreneurship in Healthcare should come to Saransk.

Artyom Zdunov emphasized that pharmaceuticals is one of the key branches of the Mordovian industry. Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, joined the discussion on the VKS.

The guests got acquainted with the experience of Mordovia in the workshops of Biochemistry. There are currently more than 300 types of medicines in the production portfolio. Recall that in March, a new workshop was opened in the Promomed cluster, one of the largest and most modern production facilities for active pharmaceutical substances in Russia.

This is exactly the concept of "Pharma 2030".

Promomed and Ogareva Moscow State University work closely together in the training of specialists. The first graduates of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Physiologically Active Substances are already working at the enterprise. And now a project has been developed to create a federal center for the development of biotechnologies. He will take over the work on drug engineering, and this ensures a full production cycle.

Yuri Kalinin, Chairman of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs' Commission on the pharmaceutical and medical industry, President of the Rosmedprom Association: "They are already talking about the future, that this is not a pharmaceutical enterprise, but a scientific and production complex. They demonstrated what we will do to spread this experience and provide assistance."

Peter Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed Group of Companies: "We can make any molecule here, modify anything, create anything — we will treat something that has not been treated before. Treat faster, treat more effectively and safer."

Following the results of the field meeting, the RSPP commission will develop an action plan for the development of the Russian pharmaceutical industry. The next stage is the approval of the roadmap by the Russian Government, which will outline concrete steps to implement the Pharma 2030 strategy.
