Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, paid a working visit to the Republic of Mordovia, during which he got acquainted with the activities of PROMOMED and its contribution to the development of science and innovation.
The key point was the visitThe Federal Center for the Development of Biotechnologies and Medicine, established on the basis of the Ogarev Moscow State University with the support of the PROMOMED Group within the framework of the Priority 2030 program. The center has modern laboratories where new biotechnological products, including genetically engineered ones, are being developed.

Valery Falkov noted the successful work of the center's young scientists, who, by order of the company, created a reporter cell line to evaluate the activity of a new antitumor drug. He also stressed the importance of the basic department opened at the Biochemist plant (part of the PROMOMED Group) for the training of qualified personnel in the field of biotechnology.
At Biochemistry, the head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science got acquainted with the full production cycle of innovative medicines to combat socially significant diseases, including oncological and autoimmune diseases. The tour was conducted by Peter Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC PROMOMED.
Valery Falkov visited the workshop for the production of active pharmaceutical substances, which was opened in 2023 with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The launch of the workshop made it possible to localize the full production cycle of many vital drugs in our country, from the molecule to the finished product. These include Nilotinib, which is used to treat hemoblastosis, Rivaroxaban, which reduces the risk of thrombosis, and Dolutegravir, which is used to treat HIV infection.
At the end of the visit, Valery Falkov held a meeting on the development of the higher education and science system in the Republic of Mordovia. Together with the Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, the rector of the Ogarev Moscow State University, Dmitry Glushko, and the region's largest employers, they discussed development prospects in these areas and further implementation of projects under the Priority 2030 program.
