The project of JSC Biochemist is presented in the State Duma

The Days of the Republic of Mordovia are being held in the State Duma. On November 7, the grand opening of the exhibition "The Republic of Mordovia – the territory of innovation" took place. The event was organized by the State Duma Committee on Federal Structure and Local Self-Government and the Regional Government. The opening ceremony was attended by leaders and parliamentarians from four political factions of the State Duma, the Head of Mordovia, Vladimir Volkov, the leadership of JSC Biochemist, clergy, and public figures.

The exhibition includes achievements and prospects for the development of the region in all spheres of life. The guests were particularly interested in the field of healthcare, which is represented by the flagship pharmaceutical industry of the region, JSC Biochemist. Introducing the visitors of the exhibition to the information stand of the plant, the Head of Mordovia, Vladimir Volkov, said:

- We were the first in modern Russia to start the production of antibiotics based on our own substances. You know that the country has been buying substances in India, China, and Western Europe. In March 2018, we released a full–cycle domestic antibiotic at Biochemistry, from the molecule to the finished dosage form. The production of three more antibiotics has been developed. We have created a large institute for the development of antibiotics, where we have gathered scientists from all over Russia. By 2020, Biochemist will release 20 antibiotics. We ensure the drug safety of the Russian Federation. There is still a lot to be done, but the groundwork has been laid.

The leaders of the political parties, in particular Vladimir Zhirinovsky, noted the importance of organizing modern antibiotic production and wished the company's management further success.

Peter Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the PROMOMED Group of Companies, spoke about the details of the unique production of a full cycle of antibiotics in Russia. The fact that today Biochemik is not only a leading player in its domestic market, but also an exporter of medicines to the CIS countries, Asia and Latin America. He also shared his plans for the near future, which, in his opinion, will definitely make a pharmacological breakthrough not only in our country, but also in the world.
