The authoritative scientific publication "Infectious Diseases", which has the status of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC), published an article describing and analyzing the main results of registration clinical trials of the efficacy and safety of the drug "Areplivir" in the treatment of a new coronavirus infection. The article describes the features of the course of the disease, substantiates the need for targeted antiviral therapy with Areplivir, and proves its high effectiveness.
In particular, the publication says that the comparative analysis demonstrated significant advantages of Areplivir treatment compared to standard therapy in terms of the rate of improvement in clinical status (by an average of 4 days), the duration of recovery and the proportion of those who recovered on the 10th day of therapy (the absence of clinical signs of the disease in the main and control groups was observed in 44 and 10% of patients, respectively), the frequency of virus elimination on the 10th day of therapy (98 and 80% in the main and control groups, respectively), significant improvement in lung condition according to CT data, improvement in laboratory parameters and normalization of saturation levels.
The authors of the scientific article were Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Dmitry Pushkar, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Larisa Balykova and other researchers.
