Production of the first domestic coronavirus drug based on the molnupiravir molecule has started in Russia. This active ingredient is recognized all over the world. Therapy makes it possible to cure even severe patients completely and in the shortest possible time.

A new word, or rather a remedy, in the treatment of coronavirus is called "Esperavir". This is the first anti-covid drug registered in Russia based on the internationally recognized molnupiravir molecule, which acts directly on the virus. The new drug suppresses it even faster, which is crucial to combat the pandemic.

"It cures COVID-19 in 5 days, which became possible because it is a new molecule, new in its class, which has its own unique targets in RdRp, a special enzyme by which the virus multiplies. The new drug suppresses the reproduction of the virus by interrupting the copying of viral RNA. "This leads to the fact that new viral particles simply cannot form, the virus cannot multiply, is eliminated from the body and, accordingly, recovery occurs," she said. Patients also have a reduced risk of developing post-cystic complications. The new drug has already successfully passed all stages of clinical trials and is now being produced at a pharmaceutical plant in Saransk.
