Vladimir Volkov and Mikhail Kotyukov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, discussed the participation of Mordovia in the national Science project in Moscow.  The project is being developed as part of the implementation of the decree of the President of Russia "On national goals and strategic objectives for the development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024."

The head of Mordovia presented to the Minister a number of regional projects, including the Scientific and Production Engineering Center for the Development of antibiotics, created on the basis of the Biochemist plant and the Ogarev Moscow State University. Vladimir Volkov confirmed the republic's intention to establish large-scale production of fifth-generation medicines.

"In the next three years, it is planned to put on stream the production of 20 completely new antibiotics," said the head of the region.

Vladimir Volkov stressed that this and other projects are of great importance for the country in terms of import substitution.

All the issues identified by the Head of the Republic during the working meeting were supported by the Minister and put to work.

It should be recalled that in February of this year, the first full-cycle production of the latest antibiotics in Russia was opened at the Biochemik plant. For the first time in the country's history, the company has organized the production of domestic antibiotics from the producer strain to finished medicines.
