The path by which the medicine reaches the pharmacy shelf is influenced solely by the human factor. Russians complain that pharmacies do not always have the necessary drugs. The national project "Labor Productivity" is designed to solve this problem.
Over three thousand enterprises have already increased their productivity during the project period, and companies whose field of activity belongs to one of the priority industries, such as transport or construction, can join them. In the case of pharmaceutical supplies, the benefits are obvious to everyone, because timely receipt of medicines in the required quantities is more important than ever.
The Saransk pharmaceutical company JSC Biochemist (part of Promomed Group of Companies) is also pleased with the modernization result. About 200 drugs are produced here, including antibiotics and antiviral drugs. According to the study, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the demand for them has doubled. To ensure that the necessary drugs were always available, their production at the enterprise was increased from 60 to 170 million per year.
"What does the national Labor Productivity project provide in the pharmaceutical industry? It makes our medicines accessible to our citizens and allows them to be sure that these medicines will always be available in medical institutions and pharmacies," said Dmitry Zemskov, Executive Director of Biochemik JSC.
