Access to therapy is part of the protection of the constitutional order: Peter Bely spoke at the SPIEF session on intellectual property
MOSCOW, September 12. /tass/. Promomed, a Russian biopharmaceutical company, and Vinafarm, a Vietnamese pharmaceutical corporation, have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing strategic cooperation in the field of drug production. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the Russian company.
The relevant memorandum of understanding was signed during an official ceremony held at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi. The ceremony was attended by Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, and Dao Hong Lan, Minister of Health of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The document defines the terms of cooperation in such areas as the commercialization and distribution of high-quality medicines, the development of manufacturing technologies, the possibility of technology transfer for the production of biological drugs and biosimilar medicines, research and synthesis of new molecules, as well as increasing patient access to innovative treatment methods in Vietnam.
"This partnership agreement with Vinafarm confirms our shared commitment to developing innovative healthcare solutions. We are proud to contribute to ensuring the health of Vietnamese citizens, using our extensive and rich experience in scientific and technical research, as well as our own technologies for the production of innovative, socially significant drugs," commented Peter Bely, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promomed, whose words are quoted in the message.
He noted that for the company, such cooperation is an important step towards expanding the access of doctors and patients to innovative drugs and strengthening the company's presence in the Vietnamese market through cooperation with the country's leading pharmaceutical corporation.
"The memorandum of Understanding reflects the shared commitment of both sides to developing bilateral cooperation and improving the quality of Vietnam's public health system, as well as strengthening and deepening the long-term partnership between representatives of the pharmaceutical industry in Vietnam and Russia," the company stressed.
