On the first day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a memorandum of strategic partnership was signed between JSC Biochemik (part of Promomed Group of Companies) and St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University. The signing of this document marked the beginning of a series of agreements to be concluded within the framework of the SPIEF.

The memorandum was signed with the aim of creating the basis for partnerships and developing long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of training highly qualified personnel for the domestic pharmaceutical industry, staff development and joint scientific research in the field of creating medicines and biologically active substances.
The document was signed by Dmitry Zemskov, Executive Director of Biochemist JSC, and Igor Narkevich, Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Chemistry and Pharmacy.
"The signing of the agreement is another step towards creating the personnel reserve and human capital of the company," said Dmitry Zemskov, Executive Director of Biochemik JSC. — It is very important for us to develop cooperation with leading Russian universities that work in the field of chemistry, in the pharmaceutical industry and train personnel based on knowledge of modern technologies. We will receive specialists who are ready to work in modern conditions, with modern equipment, and with good fundamental knowledge of basic sciences such as chemistry, processes, and apparatuses."
Igor Narkevich stressed that cooperation with leading pharmaceutical companies in Russia is an important contribution to the development and quality of education at the university.
"We hope that as part of the implementation of the agreement, we will be able to provide our students with a decent practice base where they will see all modern technologies for the synthesis and development of ready—made dosage forms of antimicrobials," added the rector of SPCFU. "We will be able to implement joint research and educational projects, as well as strengthen the company's human resources, and develop ties with Mordovia and Saransk."
