Pharmaceutical company Artsellens, founded by Promomed Group, has received the status of a resident of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

In the near future, it is planned to create a modern research laboratory with a pilot production site for the development of new drugs and launch the production of domestic biological products.

"Obtaining the status of a resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone is a significant step in the implementation of the business plan to create the most modern biotechnological production in Moscow. The resident status will allow the company to redirect the saved tax payments to accelerate the construction of new production buildings, deploy modern high–tech equipment, master the latest technologies, develop and launch innovative drugs, as well as timely and high-quality training for specialists in this latest pharmaceutical industry," said Alexander Yefremov, CEO of Promomed Group.

The total production capacity is estimated at 150 kilograms of the substance per year, or about 750,000 vials of the drug. The products of the Artsellens company will be supplied to state medical institutions. At the first stage of the project, the company will produce biosimilar drugs for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases, their localization will range from 60 to 85 percent. It is planned that after the production site reaches full capacity, 80 percent of the country's needs for oncological drugs will be closed.

The opening of production at Pechatniki is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024, and at Alabushevo in the first quarter of 2027. The new sites will allow a total of at least 410 highly qualified jobs to be created.
