Alexander Artyushin, Chief mechanic of the Biochemist Pharmaceutical Plant (part of Promomed Group of Companies), recently completed advanced training courses.

He came to the factory in '94 as a simple turner. For 27 years, he rose to a senior position. Under his leadership, the company has completely updated both the staff and the equipment — it requires special knowledge. But instead of planning to retire, Alexander enrolled in corporate training courses.

"I decided to take the training because the team is being updated, my age is getting older, but I don't want to think that I'm already outdated. They will always be useful for knowledge, and I gained an understanding of how to act correctly and lead my subordinates during this training," said Alexander Artyushin, chief mechanic of the Biochemist plant.

About 350 other people over the age of 50 took the same advanced training courses with Alexander at the company.

"We value our staff, and this program for the inclusion of employees in the older age group is aimed at making people better adapt to the modern environment," said Dmitry Zemskov, Executive Director of Biochemist JSC.

These projects have passed the All-Russian selection of the best practices of active longevity, which is being conducted for the second year as part of the national Demography project.
