34 employees with disabilities work in different divisions of JSC Biochemik (part of Promomed Group of Companies). A medical product stacker, an auxiliary worker, a loader, a deputy head of the workshop for equipment, a pharmacologist laboratory assistant, a cartoner, a supervisor for the workshop access control, a pump operator – these are just a small list of specialties that employ employees with disabilities.

Promomed Group is guided by the principles of inclusivity and equal opportunities in its corporate policy. JSC Biochemist has been implementing an employment program for people with disabilities for several years.
Dmitry Zemskov, Executive Director of Biochemist JSC, says: "we provide working conditions for people with disabilities, depending on the disability group and individual rehabilitation plan. We are developing inclusivity so that employees can realize their full potential." For each new employee, the company provides a mentor who helps to get comfortable, join the team, and deal with tasks faster. The mentor also monitors the organization of work, accessibility and safety of the workplace.
Maxim Sadovnikov, deputy of the Mordovian Employment Center, notes that people with disabilities want to work and communicate, but the issue of their employment is difficult.
Employers are often wary of this category of citizens, because health restrictions can significantly affect the functionality of a disabled employee. JSC Biochemist does not just fulfill legislative obligations for the employment of people with disabilities, but considers it as part of its social and personnel policy. The company sees such employees as highly motivated and interested team members who receive comprehensive support, but also equal requirements with the entire team, for example, discipline or compliance with safety standards.
